Just got back from 3 days in L.A. playing and shopping. Had the best time. As a girl who grew up in Seattle, L.A. is a true novelty to me. It’s like an exotic foreign land. Everyone’s so good looking! And the Sun! And the celebrities! And the shopping. In case you didn’t hear, L.A. has great shopping….

Ultimate L.A. shopping experience: Fred Segal on Melrose
…
One of the coolest and most unique shops I have ever seen is the Double RL store across the street from Fred Segal. Double RL is a newish concept from Mr. Ralph Lauren. It’s an edgier, grittier (non preppy) version of Rugby. This store is in an old mechanic shop and has a vintage industrial look. The front garage style doors open for an indoor/outdoor shopping experience.

Unfortunately, you can’t really take pictures inside the stores. I had to be sneaky with those ones inside Fred Segal and no one happened to be around at the time (they don’t really do the store justice anyway). Store owners don’t want you knocking off their interior design/merchandising style.
