The Brentwood Country Mart
…
A little history: The Brentwood Country Mart first opened on November 18, 1948. It is well-known and loved for its red-board and white trim structure that evokes early American and English country marketplaces, with shops and stalls arranged around a central courtyard.
What I especially enjoyed about this shopping center besides its nostalgic design and ambiance was its mix of shops – from the familiar and always cute (upscale paperie) to the more worldy and exotic – Jigsaw, Calypso, Calypso home & Roberta Roller Rabbit by Roberta Freymann (products made from fabric imported from India).
The Brentwood C.M. has been a celebrity-favored hang-out since the year it opened. I shopped for printed beach tunics alongside Marcia Cross from Desperate Housewives.

Tara! I wish I could have gone with you! I love that place. It’s nice to know it pretty much looks the same as it did a few years ago :) And did you go to Main St. in Santa Monica at all? They have a Planet Blue there which has sooooooooo many cute clothes. You would love it.
