This weekend I am trading in my these:
for shoes of a slightly different kind. a slightly less glamorous kind.
I am going to be escaping:
On:
(not really, but kinda…)
I am embarking on a kind of personal mission. To the top of a mountain. The tallest one in the continental United States to be exact. Tomorrow I will be climbing the great Mt. Whitney. 22 miles roundtrip to 14,500 feet. It will probably take us upwards of 14 hours. Yep, you heard me. It will be challenging. But I am kinda thinkin I’m up for it.
Because you know what thet say:
“Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul.” – John Muir
