trend alert: the desert boot

I hate to break it to you, but Fall is just around the corner. At least Fall Fashion that is (as some of us have barely experienced a stretch of Summer weather).

I, for one, couldn’t be more excited- I have always been a lover of Fall fashion. It always feels fresh and crisp, and seems to come with a promise of an exciting new beginning. I love the color palette of numerous mixed neutrals and hues taken from fall foliage. Plus, it reminds me of when I used to get a whole new back-to-school wardrobe every year. That was fun.

One of the Fall trends I have been noticing out there and am pretty excited about is…. drum roll please…. the Desert Boot for chicks.

Originally a male shoe that Clarks made famous around 1950, this season’s Desert boot is the slouchier, more rugged sister to the already trendy Oxford. These booties give that bit of edge to a girly outfit.

I love it. I’m in love. I’m in. I can’t wait to get my hands on a pair.
