I am having serious rockstar stage persona fantasies, people.
If you follow me on twitter (or facebook), you may have heard that I was lucky enough to see my favorite band, The Arcade Fire, not once, but twice this weekend at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley (an awesome outdoor amphitheatre in the UC Berkeley campus, you must try to go sometime). Of course, the music was amazing. But I also couldn’t get over the amazing, adorable and seriously fun stage outfits of the lead female singer of the band, Régine Chassagne. I was/am inspired.
Régine took to the stage in sparkling glittery full skirted party dresses in gold and silver and twirled around during breaks from her singing and accordian-playing solos. She banged on the drums and shook a tambourine in black leather and red sequin half gloves. She even brought out multicolored streamers at one point to dance around the stage with. She looked like she was having the time of her life and I wanted in on the fun. Régine had me fantasizing about joining a band just so I could dance around in sparkly outfits that shimmered in spotlights every night of the week. How fun would that be? Pictures of Régine on stage below!
“As the day grows dim I hear you sing a golden hymn…”

and then…there were her streamers….
