I have traditionally never been a fan of wearing red anywhere but on my lips and my nails, but for some reason I am kind of feeling for the color right now and am branching out with how I wear it. I am currently on a massive hunt for the perfect pair of red heels, a major trend of the moment (see here– darling blog post on them), and am having a love affair with my new red & navy striped sweater.
I stumbled upon this cropped, boxy sweater at H&M and was instantly attracted. It has that a perfect pop of red that feels really fresh and the color scheme and vareigated stripe layout is a nice update to the classic Nautical stripes I wore all Spring and Summer (seen here and here). I wore it layered over a sleeveless silk top that is long in the back and much shorter in the front. I think it adds something to the look and plays off the cropped-ness of the sweater. Perfect Fall day in SF outfit.

I actually love wearing red. I am a little worried though because I am a brunette but I am thinking about going red this winter so I am not sure if I will be able to wear my red clothes.
