The weather has finally turned winter here in San Francisco – but that doesn’t mean I am putting my beloved dresses in storage. Throw on some wooly textured tights and a deep pocketed marled-yarn cardi coat (also seen here) and I’m toasty warm.

My slip is showing just a tad on purpose. I think it adds a little something to the ensemble. The ladies over 50 in my office would beg to differ as they never fail to call me out on this traditional outfit faux pas day after day. I tell them I do it just to keep them on their toes.

I am headed home to snowy Seattle tonight to spend the Holiday weekend with my family. Pray that I make it safely and in a timely fashion as apparently Seattle is having issues handling snow in November. Plans for the rest of the week include plenty of red wine and good food with the family and friends, catching up on my knitting and magazine reading by the fire, Harry Potter 7 at the Imax with brother and a trip to the salon to get my hair did. Yep, in two days I will no longer be one with these brassy grown out highlights (as lovely and attractive as they are…). I’ll be a new lady with rich chestnut-brown subtly caramel highlighted locks. fun fun!
What are your special plans for the Holiday weekend?
