2011 is a mere days away! And you know what that means – New Years Eve celebrating!
I personally belong to the church of party dress and therefore I never pass up the chance to dress up on NYE. No matter what you are planning to do, whether it be a fancy hotel party, a dive bar and karaoke with friends, or an evening on the living room couch watching the ball drop on TV (no judgement from me, Snooki’ll be there in Times Square this year), party dresses are always appropriate.
My look this year is highly inspired by 70s glam gold lame (it’s having a moment in my life of late). Think Yves St Laurent and Jerry Hall. I am forgoing of-the-moment sequins for Metallics. I was able to get ahold of a very cool vintage gold dress on San Francisco’s Haight Street a couple of weeks ago and I’m pretty excited about. The rest of the outfit is still coming together but I’m finding all sorts of inspiration – see my polyvore inspiration set below:
Yves St Laurent Iconic High Heel Metallic Sandal in Gold or Silver, $790
Anita Ko 18-karat rose gold diamond wing ring, $4,620
Janis Savitt Snake chain and crystal necklace, 1,400 GBP
Yves Saint Laurent ‘Rouge Pur Couture’ Lip Color SPF 15, $30
Yves Saint Laurent ‘Volume Effet Faux Cils Noir Radical’ Mascara, $30
butter LONDON 3 Free Nail Lacquer, Diamond Geezer Online at…, $14
Rings – Fashion Jewelry – Bangles, Rings and Earrings | Nordstrom.com, $35
