One of the special parts about Christmas is the festive seasonal sweets we get to enjoy both on the day of and for many days after. Our Christmas sweet traditions include Mom’s 9 kinds of Christmas cookies and Godmother Robin’s beautiful Plum Pudding that we set aflame with Courvoisier cognac, Yum!

Robin spent a good part of her childhood in England and has a penchant for all things lovely and British- and Plum Pudding is a very English Christmas tradition. Robin makes them every year and graciously gifts us with one to enjoy. She makes them in her grandmother’s vintage plum pudding molds and makes sure to give us a sprig of holly to decorate it with. The cake is made with dried fruit, numerous spices and brandy and is boiled and steamed for hours to give it a rich, moist texture. It’s pretty fabulous. Thanks Robin xx.

So glad you love the pudding and that it makes me present in spirit at your Christmas table. I have hidden your Mom’s cookie feast until all the Rudds are present (minus a few of course). They would be gone by now if I wasn’t a bit devious.
Have a restful week.
Love,
Robin FGM
