The day after thanksgiving my mother and I decided to pass by the Best Buys and the Targets for a shopping experience of a more intimate kind. We spent the morning trolling Bainbridge Marketplace , a pop-up vintage/flea market housewares shop in an empty open space tucked behind some shops on my hometown’s main street. The 2 day pop-up shop was operated and curated by the very talented Sarah Wen who collected all of the items in the shop from many sources (salvage yards, estate sales, various flea markets, local artists) and merchandised them in the space to make you feel like you were walking into an immaculately beautifully decorated “Farmhouse chic” home where you could buy everything. I was in heaven from the moment I walked in. Mom and I spent hours in there looking at everything and admiring Sarah’s eye for design. Naturally, I had to snap some photographs.

of course we made some purchases: the wall mirror mom’s holding, the vintage chandelier necklace on the mannequin and a vintage milk glass vase for me and vintage cookie cutters, olive oil and ornaments for mom.
Sarah’s planning on hosting these pop-up shops on a seasonal basis and I really can’t wait for her next one.
