“I feel very lucky to get to have part of my day leading a visual life… the real joy is having those four or five hours a day to go out and just be in the world that you’re in, see it, keep your eyes open and really relate to what you’re seeing, react to what you’re seeing….” – Scott Schuman, The Sartorialist, ‘Intel Visual Life’
“going out there and letting yourself fall in love a little bit everyday,… be seduced a little bit everyday”
…
If you haven’t seen Intel’s short documentary film about Scott Schuman aka the Sartorialist, on the leading a visual life, I highly recommend it (watch the short film on youtube here). I found it particularly inspiring as an appreciator of fashion, design, art and visual beauty. To me, Scott really gets fashion. The kind of fashion that is out in the streets everyday, the kind of fashion we can all relate to, appreciate and access.
Scott inspires me to get out there with my camera, or even just with my own eyes, and take in and appreciate the visual beauty in the world around me on a daily basis. Sometimes getting inspired just takes really looking and actually seeing and falling in love and being seduced by the beauty in everyday things. ♥
