H&M announced its next designer collaboration last week, and guess what, it’s not a traditional designer at all, it’s a blogger! This marks the very first blogger as designer collaboration of this kind – big deal. H&M chose the (appropriately) Swedish Elin Kling, of Style by Kling. She has been blogging since 2007 and has become a fixture on the Swedish/ Euro fashion circuit. Unfortunately, the pieces are only available in Sweden, however I’m willing to bet it will be all over ebay.
For her collection Elin has chosen a sophistocated minimalist look, grounded in light neutrals. It reminds me of a mix between Chloé, Alexander Wang and Donna Karen. I think what she has created is pretty major – right on trend for Spring. I’d love to own that painterly print asymmetrical sleeve dress.

…
p.s. does anyone else think she looks exactly like Elin Nordegren? Do they all look like this in Sweden? not fair.

Yes, I saw the pictures and first thing that came to mind was Alexander Want. I love it and I really think this is a bold move by H&M. Too bad we won’t get the pieces here in the US. I wonder if H&M will pick an American blogger next to design a collection.

Surprising way to bringing along a new designer. It is an experiment.
I love the little black jacket.
