Sometimes I just don’t understand why I wasn’t born a mermaid (in fact, sometimes I think I was one in a past life). Alas, as a current lady of the land I can only dream, and dress like one occasionally (cue prom dress, halloween costume, and this outfit)…
I love the watercolor mermaid tail effect of this tie dye Calypso for Target maxi skirt, which I attempted to make more city appropriate by pairing it with a cropped open-weave sweater (for a more casual beachy look, I would’ve worn a simple grey tee shirt or tank). Only until I looked at these pictures did I realize it gave the effect of scales…
