i’m heading back to foggy San Francisco tonight after a leisurely week long vacation over the holiday weekend at home with my family on bainbridge island, wa. the weather has been glorious here and it has been so nice to take a break from it all in the city. unfortunately it’s back to work and real life tomorrow, although thank god it will almost be the weekend! i am looking forward to weekend plans of lounging in the park with a blanket, a bottle of wine and friends as well as a night on the town with fancy cocktails and a concert. looks like real life ain’t so bad!

I love your blog, and especially this post! Not just because it reminds me how lovely the island is (see you in August, BI!) or how much I love your family – but it’s the Beauty and the Beast plate!! I see Mrs. Potts and Lumiere under that waffle!! I will always remember eating off those plates. Love you!

Ha! I was just going to comment on the plate’s first blog appearance and I notice I’m not the only one!!! :) There are so many of those plates at your house and I think I remember all of them!
