This  ode to Tim Burton editorial from the October 2009 Harper’s Bazaar has become part of my permanent halloween decor collection. When it first came out I instantly ripped out the pages and put them up on my bulletin inspiration boards around my apartment, and I have been pulling them out every October since (now thinking of getting them laminated…). I love love Tim Burton and all of his magical fantastical characters on the screen and of course I think this high fashion interpretation (Ralph Lauren! Balmain! Margiela! Gaultier! Armani! D&G!) is awesome. Had to repost them here just for fun!

as a side note… I have to say one of the many great things about tivo is that around this time of year you can record every single halloween movie that airs on tv at all hours of the night and then have massive marathons. I have already watched Beetlejuice and Edward Scissorhands twice. Winona Ryder, you make the greatest late eighties/early nineties Tim Burton Muse as Lydia (left in Beetlejuice) and Kim (right in Ed Scissorhands).
