J Brand jeans, Zara heels
“We’re the only band that kept the guts, and kept the excitement, and kept the belief, you know. We never sidetracked. We never went the way of the Clash, and never wanted to get into the discotheques that bad.” – Joey Ramone
Ripped jeans always seem to remind me of Joey Ramone and his iconic look. So very rock n’ roll. I’m kinda interested in Johnny Ramone’s Autobiography ‘Commando’ that came out last week. I have had a certain obsession of late with iconic musicians’ autobiographies and memoirs. It really all started with Patti Smith’s ‘Just Kids’ which my friend Lynelle gave me for my birthday last year with the inscription on the front page ‘to free spirits.’ I found it to be one of the most fascinating, endearing and heartfelt books I had read in a long time. Then it was Keith Richards’ ‘Life’ and next is Carole King’s ‘Natural Woman.’ Might be the cheesiest title for a book ever, but it is her song after all, and I do happen to love a good lady ballad. rock on. xx

Those jeans are great. Nothing like a good old pair of ripped jeans to make you feel on top of the world.

I am totally crushing on ripped jeans – I am also a fan when they are cuffed at the bottom with a pop of color heel!
