Velvet tee shirt, Asos floral maxi skirt
I most definitely had a “um, where do I sign?!” moment when I first spotted this neon floral a-line maxi skirt on ASOS.com a couple of weeks ago, it was just so me. Had to have it. And it proved to be the perfect piece to wear for the bridal shower my mom and I hosted for my good friend Emily in our hometown near Seattle this past Saturday. I was looking to go for a little ‘ode-to-70s hostess-chic’ vibe with my outfit for our outdoor patio luncheon shower, and this skirt kind of nailed the look for me. After it ended up being a little cooler than I originally anticipated I ended up trading out a sleeveless top for this easy colorblock tee I swooped from my mother’s closet- effortless and comfortable.

This skirt reminds me of a long dress I once bought from an opshop featuring neon yellow turtles. The print was awesome, but the cut and the fabric were really shitty. Eventually I just gave up on it because I didnt know how to sew and make it something more. :( This skirt is like what wouldve happened if I had known how to sew and made it work… I really really like it.
