The best weekend. Started with the lovely and ethereal Florence + The Machine at Shoreline Amphitheatre who charmed us all with her British accent, her skipping across the stage, her harp playing band member and her crowd rallying abilities and whose opener The Weeknd (fitting, yes) killed it as well and is a new favorite. So happy I finally got to see Flo in concert, it was on my list. She had me wanting to come back as her in my next life. The music kept going into Saturday, with the day spent in the sun in my beloved 8 year old Frye Harness boots at Golden Gate Park for the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival where we all sang along to The Lumineers and the always great Emmylou Harris. Sunday ended celebrating a new friend’s 30th birthday (I’m always down for birthday celebrating) with some Blue Angels and an afternoon cheering on the home team 49ers and the Giants in a new favorite bar. Seriously, though, Giants, pull it together. As you can imagine, I’m now a little beat. I came home tonight to a quiet apartment, put my feet up and continued with my endless listening to Mumford & Sons new album ‘Babel’. Just so good. I’m especially a little obsessed with this number. I’ll leave you with that. Onward to Tuesday, friends. xx
