This hike in the Olympic Peninsula had been on my list for awhile, as it is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful from a view-point perspective short day hikes out there. On the clearest of days you can see all the way to the Straights of Juan de Fuca – this was unfortuantely not that day, as it was a little overcast, but no matter, still a great view over Lake Crescent.
To get to the trailhead, you drive out past Port Angeles to Lake Crescent, starting the hike near the Lake Crescent Lodge at the Marymere Falls trailhead. It is about 2 hours drive from Bainbridge Island.
The hike is a considered moderate to diffcult, as it is straight up for a good 2 hours and
